Casa Rex by Sol Resorts

We had a prawn dinner that was just as delicious as the breakfast we’d enjoyed there earlier. Breakfast was tasty and relaxing, with a view over the water and pool. The pool itself was nice, and there’s lots of seating with great water views. Check them out if you’re in Vilancolus.

The kitchen was the highlight for me, with Portuguese and Mozambique influences. I loved the crab curry, bacalhau (oven baked cod pie), seafood rice, lobster and pasta. Jill was a wonderful, helpful host who arranged bookings for some activities we had planned. It’s a relaxed, family-friendly place, and the staff are polite and helpful. The property is older but well maintained. Our room was good, the air-conditioning and ceiling fans worked, the beds were comfortable, and housekeeping kept everything clean. I prefer it to the other properties in the area.

Had a lovely lunch on the 9th of June 2017, with delicious chicken curry and chocolate cake. Most of the desserts weren’t available because they didn’t have ice cream. Even on an overcast day, the ocean views were wonderful, and the meal was a great experience otherwise.

I absolutely love it here! The food is good, the rooms are nice and clean, and the staff are especially friendly and helpful. Ask them to arrange a trip to the island or inland, you won’t regret it.
