I give Ohorongo Private Safari Lodge a firm 5/5 and recommend it to anyone after a genuine, exclusive Namibian safari. I’ve guided safaris and hosted guests at lodges across Namibia, and on a recent 16-day midrange accommodated safari, my guests rated Ohorongo the best lodge of the trip. I agreed. Please keep its quiet, exclusive character, with no need to add more chalets. Keep building on the already excellent service and that special rhino tracking experience. The lodge has four chalets and one family suite, with room for just 14 guests when full. Nights are beautifully quiet and completely dark, with a real wilderness feel. The highlight for us was tracking rhinos. After 2.5 hours, we found one, and my guests were in tears of joy. It was unforgettable. Chef Elizabeth deserves a special mention, every meal was delicious and perfectly prepared. The team were excellent too: Daniel, the head guide, was knowledgeable and professional; Anita and Rosy, the waitresses, were warm and attentive; and Selma and Pratra in housekeeping did a top-notch job. Guests staying two nights or more also get free laundry, something I’ve never seen before. The food, tranquil pool area, and the lodge’s peaceful atmosphere all made the stay stand out. The team made our two days in Namibia feel especially memorable. Everyone was so kind and attentive, and the lodge itself is wonderful. We loved that the vegetables at the exceptional meals came from the little garden. Tracking rhino on foot was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. ❤️

The sundowner and dinner beneath the stars were such a treat. Our three nights were fabulous, with delicious food, a perfect room, and warm, welcoming service. Daniel made the drives both fun and amazing. We saw lots of animals, and his passion for the land came through as he shared so much of what he knows. Thanks to the whole team for making it unforgettable, and especially Titus for your time and for opening the South gate for us 👋

The walking safaris were the highlight for us, full of emotion and a real thrill. The guides knew so much and took us to beautiful spots with an incredible amount of game. Our children, 9 and 7, loved the experience as much as we did. It was our first visit to Namibia, though not our first trip to Africa, and we had a fabulous time at Ohorongo tented camp. The setting and camp are both incredibly beautiful, and the food and service were outstanding. Even being out in the middle of nowhere, we didn't miss any comforts. We can only recommend Ohorongo for an unforgettable safari!

We’ve travelled to plenty of places, but our stay at Ohorongo Safaris Lodge was the most spectacular vacation we’ve had. The wildlife and nature are truly one of a kind, and the team made us feel like family from the minute we arrived.
