The bushveld views and the sunsets and sunrise are stunning, and the place itself is set up nicely. But the stay was far too expensive for what was provided. We paid R2500 for two adults and two children, ages 10 and 4, with no charge for the younger child. Since it isn't self-catering, meals and drinks mean relying on the restaurant and bar. We spent another R1000 in four hours on soft drinks, chips and pizza, bringing our overnight stop to R3500 on the way home. For comparison, that was half the price of a week we had spent in a four-star hotel in otjiwarongo, with buffet breakfast, a two-bedroom chalet, excellent beds and shower, DStv, air-conditioning and daily room service. Here, the shower was dirty and the head didn't work properly. There was nothing else in the room, no TV, and WiFi only at the restaurant, with data access limited there too. For all the lovely views, I wouldn't say it was worth the cost.

The evenings and the rhinos were a real highlight for us, and the peaceful setting and views made the two nights memorable. We had seen some negative reviews before arriving, but ended up pleasantly surprised. The staff were incredibly kind, the beds comfortable and the food genuinely good. The property does need quite a bit of maintenance, though. For the price, we still felt it was good value and would happily come back.

After more than 24 hours of travel, we went straight to bed after dinner and missed the fire pit. It rained on our second night, but watching the storm from our veranda over that amazing view was still a great experience. The first evening started off nicely with a wine pairing in the bar, a lighter choice after we'd spent the long flight eating and drinking. We were so glad this was our first stop in Namibia. The place was spotless, calm and peaceful, and all the staff were lovely. Wildlife made the first night special: rhinos came to feed, along with springbok and other deer, plus lots of birds and interesting insects.

The safari tour was a highlight. The owner's son drove us around their property and shared lots of information about the landscape and animals. You could tell how much they care about the wildlife. We saw Springboks, Kudos, Rhinos, Giraffes and more. This family-run place felt intimate and welcoming, and our spacious room was comfortable. There was even a little deer wandering around and greeting people. At night the animals gather where staff feed them, so you can get close and really feel their presence. After dinner, they lit the fireplace, and sitting there watching the sunset was wonderful. Definitely the highlight of our trip, and I'd highly recommend it.

The food was terrible and the service felt very unprofessional. There's no WiFi in the rooms. Overrated, and I wouldn't recommend it. Definitely not a four-star place.
