Haus Garnison Bed & Breakfast

The ocean is close, and amenities are easy to get to, which made the location really convenient. What made my stay at Haus Garnison special was the warm welcome from the friendly staff and Michelle, one of the kindest, most helpful hosts I’ve met. She goes out of her way to make sure everything is right and that you feel at home. I’d absolutely recommend this guesthouse for its comfort, warmth and convenience, and can’t wait to return.

We’d happily stay at Haus Garnison again. The room was roomy and spotless, the host was very kind and helpful, and we loved the breakfast. Laundry service was fantastic too. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it.

We felt completely safe in this part of Swakopmund, and could walk to the gem museum, main shopping centre and markets. The advice we got about places to see and restaurants to try was really helpful, and they also took care of our washing. We stayed for two nights on our Nomad adventure. The care and service were exceptional, the rooms had plenty of space and were very clean, and we had wonderful home-cooked breakfasts.

The hostess was the best you could ask for, always greeting me with a smile when I came back. The service was truly excellent, the amenities fantastic, and breakfast nicely balanced. This was probably my best hotel stay in Namibia, and perhaps of my whole two-month southern Africa trip through Botswana and South Africa in March/April 2025. If I return to Swakopmund, I’ll book here. If there are no beds, I’ll sleep on the street. Thank you again, much appreciated. Vielen Dank. Baie dankie.
