The location is lovely, within walking distance of the strand, the only beach where one can safely swim. The spar is just around the corner, and the jetty is close too, with the best scenic sea view restaurants in swakop. Go for a supreme price to quality ratio!

We booked a month ahead for 03/01/2026-11/01/2026. While we were on our way, we got a message saying the owner had died (24/10/2025) and the lawyers were apparently stopping all activities, leaving us without accommodation. Seriously not nice. The excuses don't add up or make sense. Maybe the police closed it for illegal activities? A definite no no.

Nothing like the photos. Feces came out of the shower from one room's toilet, the walls were only half painted, and the plumbing was a complete disaster.

The facilities were super clean and the staff lovely. Right by the beach front, with an easy walk to the city centre. It really felt like home away from home, one of my favorite hostel stays of all time. Deserves 10)10 stars, recommended for anyone who wants a cool place to stay.

The rooftop bar has a great balcony view over town, and there are comfy sofas around the hostel to relax on. It’s a few metres from the beach and well located in Swakopmund. Breakfast is free, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the prices are low. One of the best hostels here for a budget trip. I’d recommend it and will definitely come back soon.
