Heinitzburg Boutique Hotel

There were a lot of mosquitos in the room, so I'd suggest adding bug spray. The bathroom also had some mould that I think they should look at. A water pipe had apparently burst, and there was no water when I arrived, so I couldn't flush the toilet. It was back after dinner, but the shower still wouldn't work that night. By the next morning it was fine. The staff were warm and welcoming, and greeted me with bubbles and a welcome chocolate treat. Sadly it wasn't gluten free, even though I'd emailed ahead to say I have coeliac disease. The food was exceptional. I had a delicious tiger prawn salad for lunch, went down for a G&T at tea time to take in the views, and had a divine massage in my room. Dinner was exceptional too, with an impressive wine list and five-star service. I dined solo, though it is a very special, romantic place. Breakfast was lovely as well. An absolute dreamy stay!

The staff were lovely and helpful, and we really enjoyed the food, service, and views from the garden terrace. We stayed for the last few days of our trip and it was absolutely worth it. I'd definitely recommend this as a nice place to stay before heading off.

The pool itself was very nice, but the service there was poor. The outdoor shower hadn't been cleaned in a long time and the water wouldn't drain. There were no toilets by the pool, and the cleaning robot ran all day instead of at night. Staff weren't particularly friendly or service oriented, and the hotel seemed poorly organised. This was our last overnight stay after two weeks travelling through Nambia.

What a shock. The website said the place was open, but when I got there it was closed. Yes, it was Christmas Day, but there was clearly no attention to detail. I won't visit again. I wasted time and money, and even Yango drivers weren't available to take me there, so I had to walk to Marua Mall. Disgusting.
