It’s green and clean, with a nice scenic pool area, and the Klein Windhoek location is within walking distance of good restaurants. It’s great for a young person’s city getaway. The downsides are that they only serve breakfast, the beer options are very limited, and although there’s a bar, for some unknown reason you can’t sit in it.

Communication was difficult. I stayed just one night, then had to set off on a five-hour drive the next morning without breakfast because they couldn’t find the kitchen key.

For about 40 dollars a night, this was great value. The room was big and clean, the beds were comfortable, and everything worked perfectly, including the Wi-Fi, hot shower, and safe. I had no issues with anything in the room. Breakfast was free and perfectly adequate for the room price. I’ve had breakfasts with more variety, but I was paying a lot more for the room then. There’s no gym. The neighborhood is good, with a shopping centre and big Checkers supermarket just a three-minute walk away, or a very short taxi ride.

Room 18 was spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, the bedding very clean, and the staff were awesome. Still, the room felt outdated and had no TV. New floor tiles would make a big difference, and painting the ceilings white would brighten the room, which was very dark. We had to ask for an extra towel for the two of us, and there were no teaspoons for making a morning cuppa.
