The trails were a real highlight. There are paths all across the farm, and you’re free to head out on your own. The staff were warm and keen to make our stay a great one, and the food was very good. Great location!

We stayed in one of the bungalows, which was clean and had a lovely view from the terrace. The food was great, and the chef even made a delicious vegan meal when we asked. The whole crew were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed both the Jeep tours and the walks. The guides knew loads about the plants and animals, and you can also hike by yourself since maps are available at reception. The observatory was pretty cool and interesting too. A super cosy stay.

The dining was the real standout for me. The five-course meal was exceptional, and the kitchen handled dietary needs with care. Recently renovated rooms were comfortable, and the wide views brought spectacular African sunrises and sunsets. Onjala Lodge has raised the bar for luxury safari stays, with thoughtful touches throughout.

We were sad to leave after three nights here before our safari. The dinners were excellent, especially the kudu steak, and we loved finding hot water bottles in the bed each night. Staff were so friendly, and the views were spectacular. We’d arranged an airport pickup and stayed in a bungalow overlooking the savannah. A giraffe and some baboons came close by while we were there. I also used the spa once, and we went on two afternoon game drives. Bring a flashlight for the walk from the main building to the bungalow after dinner.

A lovely place for a quick escape from Windhoek, with family and luxury bungalows to choose from. It’s friendly and has great walking, hiking, and biking trails. There are two pools: one is semi-heated, while the other is quite cold, but the views from both are amazing. The food was delicious too. ZenSation spa was spectacular. The therapists were friendly and the Africology treatments were fantastic. You can buy the products there as well. We’ll definitely come back!
