Swiss Chalets

It’s a great spot for trekking, but the staff acted as if the place were their own private home. One girl was sitting on the kitchen bar playing on her phone, and the receptionist was asleep on the dining room table. The night porter was ridiculously loud, shouting into his phone for hours overnight. When I told him to shut up and go away, he seemed surprised.

I paid the full room rate and didn’t get a discount. The coffee was appreciated, though some sugar would’ve been nice. There was no TV, maybe they hadn’t paid for it. Out of 10, I’d give the place a definite zero. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

The rooms were well equipped, the place was clean and quiet, and the pool was great. Staff were friendly too. Breakfast choices were limited, parking felt a little tight, and there wasn’t much TV for young kids to watch.

I booked three nights for guests visiting from the UK, but they left the very next morning. Their room was full of dead bugs, and nobody on staff did anything about it. One guest became ill overnight, yet neither management nor reception was anywhere to be found. I have nothing good to say about Swiss Chalets.
