The rooms at Tenbergen Pension in Windhoek are impressively spacious, and having a kitchenette in the room made the stay more flexible and convenient. There’s also a charming little bistro just around the corner, with friendly staff and a welcoming feel, good for an easy meal or morning coffee. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would gladly return if I get the chance.

The friendly staff gave us that home away from home feeling, and we’ll come back next time. We’re two Swiss travellers, and Tenbergen Hotel and Bistro Krisjans made a perfect stop in Windhoek at both the beginning and end of our 3.5-week Namibia round trip. The place is a small, modern business and leisure village in Klein Windhoek/Tenbergen, inside a fenced area guarded around the clock, all year. Everything is run and maintained by a skilled, professional team that provides high-level service and is very welcoming.

The cafe next door was great for breakfast and lunch, and the basic kitchenette in the room came in handy for meals. The hotel has huge rooms and friendly staff. It’s about a 25-minute walk from central Windhoek, so a little out of town, but still a good option if you like walking and getting around on foot.

The rooms are really spacious and have everything you need, and the little cafe in the complex is handy for breakfast or lunch. We really enjoyed staying at Tenbergen Pension Hotel. Marvin at the front desk was especially kind and helpful. When our transfer didn’t show up, he helped us out, and we were very grateful.

For what you get, the room price is unbelievable. It’s only about a five-minute taxi ride to central Windhoek. This is my favourite place to stay in Windhoek.
