We only stayed one night after coming through from a Safari, but I could’ve happily spent another day enjoying the hotel. The in-house restaurant is superb, the staff are fantastic, and the huge room was so thoughtfully designed. From the balcony, birders and wildlife lovers can enjoy stunning views of lovebirds and other species. An outstanding short stay in Windhoek.

We had a wonderful, comfortable two-night stay at the Olive Exclusive before continuing our journey through Namibia. Its central location makes it easy to get to both Eros and Hosea Kutako airport. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they securely stored our hard-sided suitcases while we travelled elsewhere in the country. That was a must for us, since we needed to take only a soft-sided bag on the rest of the trip. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

The room’s design and interiors really impressed us during our one-night stay. The service, though, didn’t match the upscale rates or the hotel’s supposed five-star level. Everyone was friendly, but at those prices I expected much more.

The Olive turned out to be a lucky find after a misunderstanding at another Windhoek hotel left us searching for somewhere to stay. The welcome felt warm right from the entrance. I’d come down with a bad cold while travelling, and the owner kindly offered me flu medicine. We enjoyed the cocktails, and having dinner on the deck outside our room worked well with the kids. There’s a little plunge pool out there for a dip at sunrise or sunset, plus an indoor bath. The rooms were decorated with care, down to the details. It was quite expensive at the time, but we felt the stay was worth it.

Each suite is themed around a different region of the country. The location offers privacy and is about 35 minutes from the airport. The rooms are exceptional, and the staff are lovely.
