We were happy with the accommodations in both the overwater bungalow and the land bungalow, where we stayed for a birthday celebration and vacation. The service, though, took a lot away from the experience. Staff members seemed kind, but the hospitality and guest service training really needs work. With the Hilton name, I expected a much higher standard of professionalism. At check-in, we were just given a key with no explanation. I had to ask about breakfast hours, Wi-Fi, and other basic information. When we requested more water, we were told it would come the next day, and the call ended abruptly. At dinner, staff looked our way and walked past without greeting or helping us, so we had to stop someone ourselves before being shown to a table. While we were swimming in the ocean, a staff member shouted at us from far away to return to the bungalow. We were later told sharks might appear, but shouting in an irritated tone felt inappropriate and unprofessional. On the birthday itself, there was no acknowledgment at all. It left us feeling like the attitude was, “It’s your birthday, so what?” The facilities were satisfactory, but the staff service greatly diminished our stay.

We loved the island, and the hotel and its view were extraordinary. Our king de luxe beach bungalow had a stunning outlook. The crew were welcoming, very professional, and super nice. The buffets were excellent, with lots of healthy, tasty options, and seeing so many turtles was amazing.

The ambience made this a stay we'll remember for a long time. We stayed in a beachfront room and spent the morning with the sliding doors wide open, looking straight onto the white sand and azure blue lagoon. Snorkelling was incredible: the water was as clear as a swimming pool, with hundreds of fish and dozens of turtles. There were more turtles at the back of the island, but plenty to see out front too. Breakfast was great and dinner was okay. Drinks were expensive. The moaning shearwater birds were hilarious once we figured out what they were.

The land bungalows were perfect for our four days of unwinding in nature. We saw lots of snakes and turtles, and the place felt truly relaxing. Service was really good, the boat shuttles to the mainland ran frequently, and the free 30 minutes of kayaking was a nice extra. The food was the weak point. You're limited to an overpriced buffet, and the quality isn't great, so I'd bring food and snacks from elsewhere. Still, I'd recommend it to couples looking for a getaway to relax.

The fish and turtles were so unafraid of people that we could get close, watch them, and swim alongside them. We saw a range of marine life, including eight sea turtles, above the shallow coral reef where the bungalows sit. We loved snorkelling there. We spent two nights in an overwater bungalow. It was very spacious, with a large living room, bedroom, big bathroom with both a bathtub and shower, and an outdoor terrace with steps straight into the sea. Two days is plenty to explore everything, and booking an overwater bungalow is worth it for a completely different experience. The food selection isn't huge, though that's not the main reason to come. A must-see for sea turtle lovers.
