Asher Terrace Hotel & Towers

The food is delicious, the restaurant is neat, and the hotel service is nice. The rooms are pleasant, some have bathtubs, and the staff are very friendly. There’s a small gym with basic workout equipment. The pool is poorly maintained, though, and the noise from a church using one of the halls is a turn off for me.

The staff seem friendly, and security is fair, but the hotel itself is in bad shape and not nearly as nice as its name suggests. Rooms smell stale and unpleasant. There are no smoking signs on every floor, yet the place smells of cigarettes and other smoke. Finding a lizard and dead cockroaches in the room makes it seem like the rooms aren’t cleaned often enough. I didn’t try the restaurant, so I can’t comment on it.

I stayed here on 01-11-2020, and it was a terrible experience. No hospitality, poor room conditions, no WiFi, no air conditioning, and no fan. The generator went off at 1:25am. This is the kind of place you end up at if you’re stranded, or if you’re looking for a semi standard gym. I’m giving it 2 stars because at least I managed to sleep and wake up.

If you’re visiting friends at the NYSC orientation camp during the programme, you might find this place comfortable. Asher Hotel is a way to avoid the expensive rates in the city centre. A standard room costs N7500 for the night.
