Aveon Hotel

The receptionists were pleasant, but I left really disappointed. The hotel doesn’t live up to its pictures and needs serious improvement. I was glad my stay didn’t go beyond two days. The toilet drainage smelled foul, and every time I needed the restroom it was a nightmare. The pillow covers were torn, and there was no tissue or handwash in the restroom, even though the rate was over 70k per night. The food was mediocre for the price too. I can’t put it better than that, the place seems to have fallen from where it once was and needs proper management.

The staff were courteous, and it’s a lovely place if you’re after somewhere cool, quiet and secluded. If you want things to do nearby, though, you may want to think twice. I had a water problem just when I urgently needed it. They fixed it promptly, but I wasn’t happy about the timing. My online booking also wasn’t in their system, so I had to pay again for the stay and then pursue a refund. That may have been an issue with hotels.com, I’m not sure. Still, I’d say it’s a very nice place.

We spent five days here as a family. The service was nice, and the driver did a very good job picking us up from and taking us back to the airport. You could also play pool and table tennis outside, which was nice. But the hotel has really run down and needs renovation if it wants better reviews and more guests. The rooms stayed very dirty even after cleaning. The ceiling was chipping, and the walls and ground weren’t clean either. There was no hot water for showers, and the bed was very, very hard. The pool was too cold to swim in, and water was leaking out of it. The AC and TV were about the only things that worked properly. We didn’t have Netflix, YouTube or Prime Video, despite what was said, and the Wi-Fi was very slow. Breakfast wasn’t good, it was very oily.
