Peniel Apartment

There’s plenty of room for a family, including space for the kids, and the kitchenette is fully equipped. The apartment had a roomy lounge, simple furniture, a nice balcony view, and a good pool area for relaxing. It’s in the centre of Abuja, but the surroundings are peaceful. Internet was good, and the apartments are comfortable. A nice quiet getaway, with moderate, negotiable prices.

The food was excellent, but what really won me over was how friendly everyone was. They were all smiling and welcoming, from the chef to the maintenance person who came to check the heater. I had a nice experience and would come back.

The room service was very effective, and the cooling system worked well. Staff were good too. The food tasted basic and could use some attention. The rooms also need renovating, the chairs were worn, and the first room they showed us had a bad rug and what looked like cigarette burns. A car wash service for guests with cars might be useful, just a suggestion.

The apartment and grounds were clean and looked after, and the staff were courteous and helpful. Room service was good. I also appreciated having appliances that were in good condition: a microwave, cordless kettle, full-size fridge in the kitchen, mini fridge in the bedroom, cooker, iron, and washing machine. Breakfast was the one part that left me puzzled. I was told only one person per apartment could have the free buffet, even though two people had checked in. That was a first for me. Then a young woman asked the cook for more eggs and was told she couldn’t have any because she’d already had a serving. It’s a buffet, after all. Nothing ugly to report, and I enjoyed my stay. I’d visit again and recommend it to friends and family. ✔️
