There’s a lot to like at Stratton Hotel Asokoro, from the calm, secure setting on TY Danjuma Street in Abuja’s Asokoro District to the clean, comfortable rooms. The neighborhood is mostly residential and home to diplomatic missions and State Liaison Offices, so it’s one of the more secure and closely policed parts of the city. The hotel is accessible to the city center and major attractions, including malls, entertainment spots, and tourist sites. Its branches are in Abuja, and this location was recently rebranded to Stratton Hotel 38 Asokoro. The accommodation ranges from executive deluxe rooms and junior suites with separate lounges to executive suites with separate lounges and penthouses with three bedrooms, a lounge, and dining area. Rooms are spacious, with contemporary furniture and good amenities, including complimentary Wi-Fi. The interior feels luxurious, with paintings and creamy white halls that look vibrant and refreshing. There’s also a conference hall for up to 150 delegates, with comfortable chairs, good air conditioning, and modern audio-visual equipment, making the facilities handy for business travelers. Food was consistently hot, delicious, and nicely presented, with local Nigerian and international dishes made to order from fresh ingredients. The restaurant bar has spirits, wine, cocktails, beer, and other drinks. Guests can also use the clean pool, and order food and drinks at the poolside. The pool is limited to hotel guests and subscribed gym members, so privacy is assured. The hotel also has a spa and fitness center. Staff were well dressed, friendly, well mannered, and professional. That includes the uniformed private security personnel, who handled their posts calmly and confidently. I had no reason to complain about the service. There’s a 24-hour reception and room service, plus an efficient shuttle, car rental, and currency exchange. I found the accommodation pricing reasonable, but food and drinks can cost a pretty penny. With its location, comfort, luxury, amenities, good food, and service, I’d say it suits both business and leisure stays in Abuja.

The area near the governor’s lodges and embassies felt secure, and Stratton 38 was quiet. My room was comfortable, the amenities were good, and I especially liked having a handheld bidet sprayer. The staff were all really friendly and respectful. Getting to city attractions and transport was challenging for me as a foreigner because the hotel is a little far from town. I’d still recommend it for a quiet stay, though the distance matters if you want to be near the city.

Asokoro’s a quiet, beautiful area, and the hotel has white walls, good lighting, and lots of places to sit. When I arrived, there was a bad smell. I asked about it and was told it was a general sewage system problem. By the time I left, I was greeted by a sweet fragrance instead. The rooms are spacious and the food was tasty, though I found the vegetables bland.

The food was a highlight, with tasty local and international options. It’s a clean, fairly new place, and the staff are friendly and professional. The setting feels secure and peaceful, with a homely feel. A good option for individual stays or groups, including corporate lodging.

I only used the conference facilities. They do their best to keep the air moving with the AC, but the room has no windows, which made the atmosphere feel a bit flat.
