Summerset Continental Hotel By Usuma

My first choices were full, so I wound up here, and couldn't check out because I'd paid for five days in advance. The rooms are decent, but both the food and service disappointed me badly. Service is inconsistent: you might get anywhere from 1-3 towels, and cleaning may or may not happen. I initially gave them some leeway, thinking the facilities were new, but apparently they're more than 7 years old. Breakfast was terrible, just bread, beans and noodles. Other meals were expensive and average. They seem to employ foreign staff, but service is still mediocre, so what's the point of importing labour? The people who checked in with me all left early. I spotted a few roaches and got a belly bug on day 2. Definitely not 5 star, barely 2 star. I'll never return or recommend it.

The place is peaceful, but the room I booked wasn't available. They apparently hadn't paid attention to my booking, then gave me a different room and charged extra without explaining. The shower door was broken. Breakfast choices were English breakfast or egg breakfast; I picked the English option, but it came without baked beans and with stale, dry bread that tasted moldy. When I asked to see the manager, they brought peanut butter with the same stale bread, as though that fixed it, then charged me extra for the peanut butter. They didn't even have ketchup. For 200k a night, no fresh bread or ketchup is ridiculous. I could have eaten better at a local bukka. Worst experience ever.

The staff were polite and very efficient.

The hotel itself is nice, but the food was below average and not what I expected. The pool was dirty that day, and I ended up getting sick from the water.
