I used to count this among my favourite places to stay in Abuja, but lately the rooms have gone downhill because maintenance has been poor. The staff are still very friendly. Management or the owner needs to invest in fixing and maintaining the broken lights, switches, toilets, and fittings.

I’d stayed here now and then in the past, but my latest visit was appalling. The hotel has fallen so far that it’s among the worst places I’ve experienced. The room light failed within an hour of check-in and stayed out for more than 30 minutes. I called reception twice without an answer, then went downstairs myself. Staff showed no urgency or concern for guest comfort. The room was filthy too: torn, stained sheets and pillowcases with hair on them, a dirty towel, grimy bathroom tiles, and curtains that looked unwashed for months. It felt like an abandoned building pretending to be a hotel. I asked to speak to management and was introduced to Sonia, who said she was the manager. She was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of dealing with my complaints, she told me to “check out if I couldn’t manage.” I was left speechless and felt immense pity for myself. About 15 minutes later, I saw her harass, berate, and curse at two other guests and a staff member. I started to feel that my safety and peace of mind were at risk. It was too late to find somewhere else that night, so I stayed, but I barely slept because the room and bedding were so dirty and uncomfortable. I checked out at 5:30am the next morning. This place has gone from decent to disgraceful: terrible staff attitude, no hygiene, and no accountability. A disgrace to hospitality. If you care about your money, comfort, or dignity, do not stay here. My rating would be -10,000/100. I’d never recommend it unless you’re deliberately looking for misery.

The property is in a nice location and the grounds are clean and neat. It has a good-looking pool with a nice view, but I tried all the gym equipment and none of it worked, so the gym seems to be there just for show. For a place so well built and situated, the rooms need better upkeep. In mine, only one LED light worked. The bedside lamps and key lights were all out. I reported it to reception, but the staff kept sending me back and forth, and nobody fixed it during my three-night stay. It was an okay experience overall, about 6/10.

The place looks nice, but honestly it’s mostly for appearances. The rooms are small for the price, and you can get better value elsewhere for the same money. The staff are courteous, and room service is okay. Electricity stayed on all the time, the water heater worked well, and breakfast was included, though they didn’t provide water with it. The food is a bit pricey too. The toilet had no bidet or bowl to use instead, and there was no air freshener until I called to ask for one. Mosquitoes showed up in my room on my second, third, and fourth nights.
