The rooms need a lot of attention. The bathroom walls were damp, the fittings looked dated, and the door knobs were stiff. Work was going on in some rooms while I was there, and the noise was unbearable. They could’ve picked a better time for it. The elevator also smells oddly damp and is very old, so it needs plenty of servicing.

The rooms are cozy and affordable, and the customer service was excellent. Top view has a calm, classy feel. I’d gladly stay here again.

The location is great, but at nearly 30 USD I expected more for the price. My Royal Deluxe room needed maintenance, with several lights faulty or completely out, and the Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect in my room. Breakfast wasn’t brought up unless I paid extra, and I wasn’t allowed to carry it upstairs myself. A high price should come with a higher standard.

They offer complimentary breakfast and the Wi-Fi is good. But the infrastructure feels like a hotel still coasting on its past glory.

The rooms are spacious, and the staff were courteous and attentive. Breakfast each day is good value too. The location may be the biggest plus: it’s on the same road as the local Shoprite, with a row of other restaurants and banks nearby.
