The food was tasty and well cooked, though breakfast had limited choices and only one guest per room was allowed. Guests had to be served, too. I overheard the chef challenge someone who served themselves, saying, "you have to pay for another plate." For N90k a night, I'd expect at least two breakfasts. On the plus side, the staff were helpful and respectful, apart from that incident. My room was very clean and neat, but I moved from the standard room to the newer premium one after seeing the bedsheets. They should think about how often sheets are replaced. There was only one towel in the room, though most guests have someone with them and shouldn't have to share. The hot water wasn't working, so I had cold showers throughout my stay. The location is great, near banks and fast food places, and it seemed secure with private security. The facilities are somewhat good, but they'll need regular maintenance to keep their standards. I understand the hotel was built 5 years ago. Would I stay again? Possibly, but I'm not sure yet. I haven't found the hotel that meets all my needs. Awka's hotel scene is still developing and has a long way to go compared with cities like lagos. There's clearly ambition to improve, and I don't think money is the issue. With better maintenance, staff training, and people who understand hospitality, this hotel has the potential to be one of the best in the city.

The service is extremely poor. I asked a waiter to help heat up meals I'd gotten from the hotel, and they flat out said no. The service was rude and disrespectful.

The rooms were in good condition, and the service was excellent.

The rooms were tidy, and there was WiFi, a lift, a restaurant, and a bar. Just no smart TV.

We used to choose this place, but the service has got worse every time we've returned. The cleaners don't really clean the rooms, they just make the beds and act as if they've cleaned. In the photo, for example, there are splashes on the mirror left by previous occupants. On our last night, around midnight, the power went out in our room. After two hours, several calls, and talking to multiple staff, we finally got moved. We were carrying all our things in our sleeping clothes, but the key wouldn't work. We had to wait in the hot hallway while staff went to reception in the other building and returned with another key card. We had to clean the new toilet ourselves, then wait another hour for the room to cool down enough to be comfortable. Having to move rooms on the last night of a week-long stay was a nightmare. Breakfast is meant to start at 7:30am, but don't always expect it to be ready before 8.
