The bar and restaurant looked dusty and dirty, almost as if nobody was using them, and the road on the street outside is in really bad shape. The building looks nice from outside, but basic services were unreliable: electricity and water were off for long stretches, and receptionists were often away from their desks. The staff were friendly, but seemed untrained and inefficient. They didn't seem to know what they were doing, and I felt they lied to me with a smile. They gave me a false explanation about the electricity problem and said they'd sprayed insecticide in my room, which they'd left open. Several mosquitoes got in.

The room had a very comfortable bed and the AC worked well. The receptionist and other staff were great, too. I had a lovely stay, and would recommend it to anyone coming to Enugu for a program who wants a comfortable hotel not too far from town.

The building is beautiful, and the place felt like home, but the service let it down. My room had no soap, toilet paper, or towel, and the air con was temperamental and not working properly. The staff seemed indifferent. There’s a lot they could do to make the hotel match its looks.

The rooms are furnished okay, but the service was awful. The food tasted poor, and there was no electricity in the hotel. They ran the generator for only a few hours, either because it was faulty or they were using it sparingly. I went to sleep without power and there still wasn't any when I checked out. With no window in the toilet, I had to use a torch there in the dark. Nobody explained or apologized for the outages, which made it seem like this was normal. I paid after being promised Wi-Fi, uninterrupted power, and other things, but got none of them. A complete waste of money, and my worst hotel experience.
