E- Exclusive Hotel

As a woman traveling alone for work, I found the place secure and quiet, with friendly, welcoming reception staff. The modern room had good AC, constant power and water, and the basics like soap, towels, tissue, bottled water and tea. It was good value, and they took my last-minute booking. The kitchen staff seemed a bit disorganized, though. Breakfast didn't arrive either day, so I had to call and remind them several times. I also requested water and coffee, but they never came. I'd stay here again.

I stayed at E-Exclusive twice in one week, first to be near the takeoff point for my Abuja trip, then again a few days later after getting back past 11:00 p.m. I chose the budget Classic room, which worked well for a bed and board. Both rooms were bright and neat, with good furniture and fittings, a wall TV, refrigerator and quiet AC that worked well. The electricity stayed on throughout. I'd read some intriguing reviews before booking, including concerns from earlier guests, and saw that management had taken them seriously. From what I observed during my short stays, it looks like some of the promised changes have been made. I would like them to add the Classic room shower fittings to the regular maintenance checks and make sure they're working properly. I'm sure the main suite is a different experience. I enjoyed staying at E-Exclusive Hotel. It's a great place to be.

The rooms are expensive for their condition and offer hardly any room to move, even at 35k. I saw the same maintenance problem in about six rooms, with cockroaches on the bedding, duvet and wall. The lights also went out in the room I was in around midnight for some reason. I didn't have a single meal during my stay, but the only breakfast served was in the enclosed dining area downstairs. We were held up from leaving because a spoon was missing, even though the complimentary drinks in the room hadn't been touched. They charged 3k for the spoon anyway. If you can, avoid this place.

The compound is peaceful and the location is very good, but the rooms are badly managed. In the first room, the shower leaked so badly I needed a bucket to bathe. I moved, and the next room was just as bad. The staff are respectful, and the manager is friendly and kind, but they were careless about handling requests. I asked for tissue at 4pm and kept following up, yet it didn't arrive until 9pm. The ACs kept switching on and off. At 1am, a staff member started breaking coconuts behind my window, making unnecessary noise and disturbing me. All in all, it was a terrible experience.
