The Willows Nest Hotel Ibadan

For Ibadan, I’d call this a five-star hotel. Other places nearby are two stars or less, though by Lagos standards it would be three. The restaurant bar food is good, and breakfast has plenty of choices, but the breakfast area is small and gets crowded easily. The room is large. The bathroom is okay, though the tile and sink/faucet setup feels awkward and needs an update. My room was at the back and quiet, but a family member said the pool area can be noisy at night and make it hard to sleep. Room location seems to matter. I wouldn’t recommend booking through Expedia. The companies currently have a dispute. I’d paid before leaving the USA, but after the long trip the hotel staff said they had my reservation but hadn’t received payment from Expedia. Showing my paperwork didn’t help. I had to contact Expedia for a refund and then book directly with the hotel.
