Honestly, it was awful. The AC, fan, and freezer stopped working. Right after I checked in, a staff member insisted I pay for water immediately. My phone had died, so I asked for a few minutes to come back and pay, but she wouldn’t let it go. Around 1 a.m., another staff member barged in as if they didn’t know anyone was staying there. I’m never coming back to this hotel.

The rooms are roomy, nicely designed, and comfortable, and the pool and dining choices are great. Everyone was friendly and ready to help. Rotana Hotel has a beautiful atmosphere and warm hospitality from the moment you walk in. It’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy a luxurious stay, and I highly recommend it.

The food was fair, but the stay was horrible. The AC didn’t work and there was no running water, so I had to make other arrangements to shower.

The hotel has potential, but the cockroaches in my room and in several rooms used by my team need attention. Loud music from the in-house club and event hall continued until midnight, so getting to sleep early was hard. The staff were exceptionally respectful and helpful, with top-notch customer service. Nearby, I found an excellent local restaurant serving delicious Amala, rice, and beans. It isn’t affiliated with the hotel.

I’ll definitely come back after this first stay. The room was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was easy and tasted good for the price, and I found a few nice treats in the shops. It was a busy, clean place. One lift was broken, which was difficult because I’m disabled. There was a glass lift, thankfully, but it was much smaller. I’ll book another stay later in the year.
