Eko Hotel Gardens

Victoria Island is a big part of what makes staying here convenient. It’s handy for meetings, restaurants, nightlife, and getting to other parts of Lagos. The hotel itself feels lively, spacious, and secure, with a pool, gym, restaurants, and event spaces. It’s easy to see why big concerts, weddings, conferences, and other events happen here. My room was roomy and comfortable, the bed was relaxing, and housekeeping kept it reasonably clean. Staff were generally helpful and polite, from check-in through the rest of my stay. I mostly enjoyed the visit, though some areas feel dated. A few room fixtures were worn, and maintenance could be better.

The location has a lot to do with the reputation, and the views and surroundings are lovely. I like what they’ve done with the place and that they’re working to maintain the standard, especially at the prices we pay. Still, the staff could do better at smiling and showing they want to help.

We had a lovely suite overlooking the harbor and city, and the accommodation and customer service were both high quality. The staff were attentive, and there’s a good range of restaurants. The whole gated complex feels like a city within a city, with everything you need on site, including a convention and entertainment complex. We stayed in December 2025 and were very pleased. I’d stay again if we came back to Lagos, Victoria Island, for work or a holiday.

The buffet restaurant fell short, even though the pool service was fantastic. The servers need more training and a better understanding of their customers. Customer service is their main job, and it should be consistent and done well.
