I came back for a second visit in two years, and the price had gone up without any noticeable improvement. The pillowcases still smelled like the previous guest, the showerhead was broken, the bathroom tiles were slippery, and the window view was awful. The room itself has a very good interior, with plugs by the bed, but I checked out right away.

The residence was quiet, which I appreciated, but I’d never stay there again, even if it were the last hotel in Lagos. The facilities need a major overhaul: the phones didn’t work, my TV was broken, some sockets were dead, the plumbing had problems, and the complimentary breakfast portions were tiny. Breakfast is meant to be a meal. Still, the staff’s attitude bothered me more than the broken things. Customer service was practically nonexistent, with rude staff and an unfriendly manner that made even simple questions a hassle. When I asked the most senior staff member at reception for the WiFi password, they told me to go back to my room and call reception to get it.

I’ve stayed here three times, both on my own and with friends, and it’s been well worth it. There’s a built-in speaker that plays classic music and other really good songs. Security feels completely safe, and it’s easy to get in and out, apart from the estate security at the entrance. The road network is good too. The food is fresh, tasty, served in big portions, and very affordable. A real budget steal and a great place to stay.

I’ve stayed here twice over the last three years, and the quality has been good each time. It’s secure, peaceful, and convenient to get to. Customer service is generally good. My only issue is how hard it was to iron my clothes myself. Each room has an electric kettle, so I don’t understand why there isn’t an iron in every room, and they wouldn’t lend me one. Strange.
