Presken Hotels @ Victoria Island

The reception staff were fantastic. This hotel is a good fit for guests who want a classic, quiet, peaceful setting.

I had a great experience here for my birthday about two years ago, but in 2026 the service has been poor, and I think management needs to take a look. I asked for an extra cup, was told I already had one, and although the staff then said okay, it never came. Tea was served, but I had to use my own bottled water to make it. Food arrived without cutlery, and when I asked for a porter, the receptionist questioned why I wanted one. She spoke rudely and seemed unhappy in her job. Honestly, I’d rate this 0.00000001.

The poolside is lively, with a steady stream of hotel guests and outside visitors, and the bar adds to the busy atmosphere. The design also sets this Victoria Island branch apart from the usual Presken look and from many other hotels. The staff are good, though I’ve had better at other Presken locations. I’ve stayed at several Presken hotels, and this one isn’t my favorite overall. There isn’t much going on right nearby, and the entrance and parking area are small. Still, it could suit you if you like a distinctive design and an active pool scene.

I ordered ahead at their restaurant and lounge, and they assigned someone to assist me. The staff were polite and helpful, and I had a nice, relaxed evening. It can get a bit noisy upstairs because of the speakers, but it’s a lovely place and the prices are fair.
