The Safron Hotel Ikeja

We were told breakfast would cost ₦50,000, which felt excessive given the hotel's overall quality. For the price of the penthouse, we expected clean rooms, good furnishings, and top level service. Instead, the suite felt poorly maintained and nowhere near luxurious, and the ambience didn't justify the cost. Some facilities didn't work properly, and cleanliness fell short. The trouble started at check-in. The front desk seemed disorganized and unprofessional, the wait was much longer than expected, and no one gave us a proper welcome or clear information about the facilities. Service stayed slow and inconsistent throughout our stay, making things more frustrating. My husband, his brothers, and I booked a penthouse at Safron Hotel Ikeja expecting a premium stay. It was disappointing and overpriced, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for value for money.

The room had a decent amount of space and a proper desk, and I liked the shower. The AC worked well, and the hotel was clean and convenient for the airport. There were several annoyances, though. The bed was too soft, and the toilet lid wouldn't stay up, so it kept hitting my back. There was no hair dryer or slippers. WiFi was weak, and the speaker outside the guest rooms played loud music until 11 pm, although they turned it down each evening when I asked. I also couldn't add water to my room bill. Taken together, it didn't feel like the best value.

I had a good stay and would recommend the hotel. The rooms are spacious and nice, and the staff were polite and helpful. Food was good at a fair price, parking was available, and the lift worked.

We spent watch night on the rooftop and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere and music were great, and the food tasted good. There weren't any appetizers, though, and the main meals arrived late, so we had to wait with our drinks.
