Urban Metro Inn

I’m really disappointed with Urban metro. I chose it because it’s close to the airport, and I wasn’t asking for my money back, only to move my reservation. I’d made a booking and later called to change the date, but the customer service representative kept talking to someone else while I was still on the phone with her. After I kept following up, I was told I couldn’t move the booking and was made to feel I had to use the hotel because I’d already paid. Even the biggest hotel in Lagos would let me change a reservation without this hassle, and I can change a flight booking without any stress. Very poor customer service. You guys should do better.

The food and service were both good, and the location is convenient and easy to reach in Gbagada. Getting a ride from the gate can be tricky, though. Many drivers are on the other side of the expressway and have to make a full U-turn, so quickly tell them which side of the road you’re on. You can also avoid the default app pin and choose the gate itself. I stayed in the cheapest room. It was just mid-range and not especially clean or hygienic, though it could work if you’re on a tight budget.

I liked my stay at this small, cosy hotel, and the polite staff helped make it pleasant. The room was clean, which matters a lot to me, and I enjoyed the cocktails enough to recommend them to future guests. The rusty air conditioner needs attention, though. They could improve on keeping the whole place thoroughly clean. I’d rate my satisfaction 8/10.

I ate at the restaurant and got nice service. If you go, ask for Precious to wait on you. The service was fantastic.
