The facilities are good and the place is okay, but management could do better about providing water. Asking guests to pay ₦1,000.00 for a 50cl bottle feels like a minimal thing to ask given the room rates.

The outdoor lounge looks over a valley, and honestly the view is awesome. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious, but service could be better because room service takes forever. The place felt kind of dull and boring overall. They have the resources to do a lot more with it, but aren’t making the most of them.

I always loved the peaceful feel of the place and wanted to stay extra nights. But in January 2024, I went to Valley View for one night and was more disappointed than I’ve ever been. There was no power, so the AC didn’t work, and the generator couldn’t run it either. The room got hot, there was no fan, and mosquitoes spent the night buzzing around my ears and biting me. I had to beg for a fan so I could sleep. Even after all my complaints, management didn’t apologize. The owner stays in the hotel penthouse, yet every corner seemed badly maintained. It was a total mess, and I got home treating malaria. They should hand out mosquito coils at check-in so guests know what they’re getting into.

The cleaning staff were very kind and thorough, and the meals were delicious. The morning buffet was especially rich. The room I’d booked wasn’t available, but management kindly upgraded me. I’d be happy to come back.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the location is great, right in Ikeja just off Toyin Street. The suites are spacious and good, though the facilities need much better maintenance. Meals cost a bit much and there isn’t much variety. Overall, it’s an okay hotel.
