Blu Atlantic Hotel

The good points were the location, lovely interior colours, and all the space in the suite. My daughter had room to crawl around, and the layout had a separate bedroom and living room. We stayed about 14 nights, from December 26th, 2025 to Jan 9th, 2026, with my husband and baby. Beyond those positives, the experience was really disappointing. Service was poor. Most of the staff seemed unhappy to be there and acted like helping was a favour. I remember Andrew at reception and David in the restaurant as exceptions, but hardly saw anyone else smile the whole time. The restaurant food was expensive and not good. Menu prices didn't match what we were charged, and items were priced separately. The menu listed shawarma at 8K with chips, but we were told the shawarma was 9K and chips cost another 6K, making 15K total. The jollof spaghetti with fried fish and plantain cost 32K, and the spaghetti already tasted bad and funny. Breakfast was laughable, with hardly ever more than two choices. The amenities were lacking too. There were barely any hangers, and we had to ask before getting a fridge. They were miserly with toilet paper. Once, after we ran out quickly, we asked for two rolls and were bluntly told we couldn't have more than one a day. In a one bedroom suite with a separate living room, there was just one dustbin in the bathroom and none in the living area. The Wi-Fi practically didn't work in our suite, so I had to hotspot my phone network to use the smart TVs. The lighting was strange, since turning on the living area light also turned on the bedroom light, and there was mold around the bathroom sink.
