Bates works as a decent option for LBS students during intensive week, and for what it is, it’s quite nice. The shower was a bit iffy, the staff seem clearly overworked, and the food needs a serious upgrade. Still, it’s not bad.

The standard room is N30K a night, or N20k with a discount, and breakfast is included. There’s no gym or swimming pool, but aside from that, it’s a good place and I recommend it. Right beside Lagos Business School, it’s a convenient place to stay for LBS courses without commuting. It’s quiet and serene, ideal if you like peace and also a nice weekend getaway. It feels like home away from home.

The rooms were clean, and the service decent, in a serene setting. Breakfast could use some tweaking, and the bush bar needs a bit more life.

We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. It’s a very affordable, amazing hotel in a quiet, safe neighbourhood, with top-notch service. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
