De Range Hotel

Update: The hotel has made some improvements, though there’s still more to do. The towels and sheets are clean and new, and customer service and housekeeping have improved. I’d give it 3 stars. I wanted to rate it 2.5 stars but couldn’t split the rating. It’s a nice hotel that’s gradually being improved. Some rooms may have badly stained tubs from age, but the toilet seats are new and clean. The rooms are large, with a full bed, and customer service gets 3 stars.

It was an okay stay. The rooms are spacious and the furniture is up to date, and the staff were friendly and helpful. But the generator gave them trouble throughout my visit, and the bathrooms smelled of urine. If you need a cheap place to stay in Owerri, it could work.

The room had a huge bed and a bathroom just as spacious. The compound is roomy too, and the staff were very welcoming. It felt like good value for what I paid. I bet you’ll want to return to DE RANGE hotel.

Power supply is something they’re doing a great job with. The hotel accepts credit cards and has a pool, a bar, an indoor bar, a restaurant, a gift shop, meeting rooms, and parking. There’s no spa or massage service, though. Sterling Bank ATMs are out front, and it’s not far from the State General hospital. Saturdays can get busy with events like weddings. Every Tuesday, the Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship International, called the Grace Model Chapter, Owerri, meets in the inside bar from 5-7pm, among other things.
