Golden Vista Hotels

Breakfast was one of my worst experiences. They call it a buffet, but say I can’t have omelette if I’ve taken egg sauce. What’s the point of a buffet if I can’t eat what I want?

On the eve of my wedding, what should have been a comfortable stay turned into a nightmare. We spent far too long in the lobby waiting for a room key, then found the elevator broken and had to haul our luggage up five flights. The room we’d booked wasn’t available because someone else was in it, and nobody had warned us or arranged an alternative. The room they gave us had no working air conditioning, so we were moved again to a twin room, far from what we’d paid for. A staff member, Precious, said we’d get half the cost back for the inconvenience and directed us to speak with the accountant, Tochi, the following Monday. When we followed up, the hotel denied ever offering a refund. That was highly unprofessional and dishonest. They also charge an extra fee for wedding content shoots, which isn’t mentioned upfront. It’s close to restaurants and lounges, but it’s not a quiet location. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially for a special occasion.

The rugs and carpets are old and dirty. They need to be removed.

The rooms are sharp, and the whole place looks fantastic. There’s plenty of parking, both inside and outside the compound. Management is the letdown, though. Most amenities get little or no upkeep and seem neglected overall.
