Greatwood Hotel

The place has a calm, cozy feel, and the staff were attentive and made us feel welcome. The rooms were comfortable, and the amenities made for a relaxing stay. Finding your way around may take some help, but the staff were happy to assist. A charming spot for a getaway.

The rooms and bathing area felt a bit small, but the rest of the place was nice. There's a welcoming reception, a lovely environment, and a cool pool where you can unwind. They also have indoor and outdoor bars, plus a VIP section, with a lively atmosphere. It's a cool place overall.

The staff were hospitable, which was one good part of the stay. The photos had us expecting much more, and the experience was abysmal. Owerri has plenty of hotels, and you could find a better one for the same price, so we don't recommend this place. At first, the reception looked just like the pictures and seemed like a 4 star hotel. That changed once my friend and I got to our room for the night. The finishing in both rooms was poor, both bathrooms were small and very dirty, and we found small roaches in each one. The rug didn't seem to have been cleaned either, unlike what the online photos suggested. I'm glad I brought my own towel. The hotel's white towel was brown and had loose threads, so I wouldn't advise using it.

The air conditioned rooms were comfortable, with clean sheets, and the price was fairly affordable. Service was very nice, and there are elevators and everything. It was also easy to get transport to wherever you need to go in town in Owerri.
