For 20k in 2026, you get a standard room like the one in the photos I posted. Hard to believe, but Emerald Hotels offers that. The room had a working fridge, a clear TV with what I think was a DSTV premium subscription, good AC, nice sheets and duvet, plus hot water. I can't ask for much more, and can only imagine what the higher-level rooms are like. I also liked the hotel's flooring, and the workers were great. I didn't use the elevator or ask about it, but I suspect it was faulty since I didn't see anyone using it on a weekend, even though the hotel is in the city centre. Hope they fix it. Good experience, thanks Emerald 🙏🏼✌️

The rooms and fittings are badly outdated, and the staff were rude and greedy. The service was poor, and they took no responsibility for lost items.

I chose it because it was fairly cheap, so I didn't expect top-level service and kept my expectations modest. My stay went smoothly, without any drama. Still, given how close they are to the city centre, they could improve the atmosphere and service.

The staff at Emerald hotels Ltd were well mannered, and I had a delightful stay. The elevator needed repairs, but if you're into fitness like I am, you'll enjoy taking the stairs. There's still room for improvement.
