At Gade Place Hotel in Port Harcourt, the location was convenient and the pool looked great. My room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were okay. It was a fairly average stay. I’d come back, though I wouldn’t make a special effort to recommend it.

4/10
The bed felt shaky and made noise, the sink tap was broken, and neither the heater nor the bathroom door was in good shape. There’s a big hole where the glass should be in that door, and the bathroom itself looks old. The rooms are very basic. Two stars is generous.

Gade's place is a cute spot for a smart hangout away from home. It’s a new hotel with bars and a restaurant, and the setting is serene with excellent staff. You’ll find it on busy East West Road, just after the Obiri Ikwerre Bridge if you’re heading toward Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.

Food and drinks were really nice, and the place has a cool, pleasant feel. Their service is good too.

Just before the Gitto flyover, you’ll find a place worth staying at, with executive rooms that are well furnished.
