Genesis Place

The beds are kept very neat, and some of the staff can be caring, but the hotel needs a full overhaul. The old window air conditioners are noisy, equipment and facilities need renewal, and faults can sit unattended for months. They don't act on honest feedback. Room service from the restaurant can be very slow, the internet is slow or unavailable most of the time, and cable TV choices are limited.

We stayed there during our honeymoon travels, and it was a lovely enough experience. Breakfast was included, though there wasn't much to choose from. Dinner was amazing, especially the special fried rice and salad. I'd suggest spending less by eating at the actual restaurant instead of the hotel restaurant.

The room had a beautiful layout, good lighting and a nice bathroom. The furniture and cabinets were very good quality, and the staff were generally pleasant. I did notice some wear and tear on the laminate floor, bedding and towel. It's a nice place any time.

The meals have a tasty, varied selection, and Genesis is much nicer than it used to be after its revamp. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal.
