Moratel Hotels

I paid in full for three nights at Moratel hotel more than a month before my stay, then an emergency came up and I told them I could only stay two nights. Their policy and price list didn’t say there were no refunds, and no one mentioned that before I paid. Once I raised the issue, replies became slow. They kept saying they’d talk to the manager and get back to me, then finally said they wouldn’t refund the extra night. The rate was 74k a night. After I checked in for the two nights, I got a call that a family member had been in an accident and was unconscious. I changed my flight in a hurry and left the next day. I tried to get a refund for one night, and now it’s two nights. I expect they still won’t respond. Poor service. They’re quick to take the money and slow to refund it, even though the no-refund rule wasn’t posted anywhere. 154k gone?? Moratel, you still have my account number. Do the needful.

I stayed at the hotel for two and a half months during my visit to Nigeria, and I really can’t complain. The location is good, the rooms were always clean, and the food was delicious. For the price, it felt like luxury compared with some other places I’ve stayed. The service was 10/10, especially for someone who travels a lot. The staff were amazing, respectful, and welcoming. Big thanks to everyone for their effort and professionalism, especially Juliet and Michael. I’d highly recommend it.

It’s a beautiful, well-kept hotel, and the plumbing fixtures are up to date. The staff are dedicated too. One thing to fix: the towels are off-white and need replacing.

Yomi at the front desk always greeted me with a smile and seemed to really get what hospitality means. Moratel is great value for money. Just keep in mind that the cheapest rooms are limited and tend to get booked up.
