K'orbit Galaxy hotel

The room was basic but comfortable, and the staff were consistently kind and helpful. We couldn't get hot water from the tap, but after several calls they brought some over fairly quickly, smiling. Food was affordable, though it took forever to arrive, as it seems to at most hotels. When the power went out, they switched on the generator, and I could watch a live match in my room. A nice, affordable stay.

The place felt safe and has an easy connection to the city. Electricity was reliable, with the standby generator used whenever public power went out. The room was okay, though I had to upgrade from the standard one because of the bed size. There was hot water, which was a relief in the cold, but the toilet setup wasn't great. The WC sat too close to the wash hand basin, making it awkward to use. Staff were friendly, but I had to complain about how meals were served. The food and cutlery were just dumped on the table instead of being arranged neatly on a tray. There was no proper lobby to sit in, just one unfriendly chair and table in the corner. The room also had a mosquito problem, and smacks on the wall suggested previous guests had dealt with the same issue.

I had fun taking photos at K'orbit. The friendly staff, great service, and wonderful facilities made for a good stay, with clean, spacious, air-conditioned rooms. It's one of the few hospitality places in town that really offers value for money.

What was advertised online for the rooms and prices didn't line up with what was actually offered, and check-in was a disappointment. Reception couldn't help, and the manager was nowhere around, with his cellphone switched off. Wifi didn't exist, and the complimentary breakfast was a joke. The very idea still makes me laugh.
