6/10
The rooms have plenty of space, though they don’t feel especially cozy, and the place looks run down lately. It used to be a great spot, but it hasn’t lived up to its old reputation. The hangout area needs a designated smoking spot so non-smokers can breathe. I’m not sure there’s much they can do about the noise. There’s still a lot to work on.

The remodeled lounge is open now, so it can’t really be used and feels more like decoration. They haven’t set aside a place for smokers, swinging from allowing smoking everywhere to banning it altogether.

The rooms are roomy, but they aren’t cozy, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. Before dawn, I woke up at least five times to turn the AC back on because there was no remote to restart it after each power switch-over.

The atmosphere was nice, though a little noisy. Meals and drinks came somewhat promptly, so it wasn’t a bad experience.

Kastrufid feels like a home away from home. The rooms are furnished, air-conditioned and have Wi-Fi hotspots, and the rates are pocket friendly. It’s clean and quiet, the staff are friendly, and the food is mouth watering.
