Hotel Casa Royale

I used this place when I had time to kill before the night bus. It costs a bit more than other spots, but I thought it was worth it. The balcony is a nice place to sit and watch the boats. The bus station and ferry port are both less than 5 minutes away, so it’s easy to reach even with heaps of luggage. I only had a few drinks here, never ate.

We checked the website and called first. They told us pool access was 200 cordobas per person and that we could use that amount to eat at the hostel restaurant, where prices are higher than at a usual restaurant. But that turned out to be a lie. To use the pool, you have to eat there and pay 200 cordobas per person. They didn’t seem ashamed of misleading us at all.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the restaurant is great, and the view is the best in the city. There are hot showers and free transport to the airport, and the pool was clean too. It’s a little expensive, but worth it. Nicest hotel in Bluefields by far!

I only stopped at the restaurant, but it’s a really nice place to spend a few hours in Bluefields. The beers cost a little more, though that seemed fair for the spot. The bay view is epic.
