Azvlik Popoyo

The rooms were cozy and pretty, and we had a really nice time here with the whole family. The staff were polite and professional, and we’d definitely come back. One thing to know is that getting here may be difficult in a sedan. Also, one night my sisters, brothers-in-law and I were playing and having fun, but the bar staff member kept joining our conversation and getting into our personal space. That felt uncomfortable since we value privacy at a resort or hotel.

The location is lovely, but the WiFi was unusable for the work trip I’d planned. Management first said it would be fixed, then it disappeared, then came back at around 1-2mbps. After a week of back and forth, I was still getting dropped from every call, so I left a week early. I’d spent most days working at another hotel down the street with fast, reliable WiFi, so blaming Popoyo generally didn’t make sense to me. I told management I needed to relocate and asked for a refund for the nights I wouldn’t use, but they took no responsibility for the unstable connection. They essentially denied there was a problem and told me my needs weren’t a priority, even though WiFi was advertised. The screenshot attached is what management sent while I was getting about 1mbps. I’d welcome a message from Azvluk to make this right, since I still feel it was unprofessional not to offer even a partial refund. I also wasn’t told about the breakfast that was meant to be included in my reservation. And if you plan to spend time in the room, there’s no privacy unless you shut all the blinds, which kills the vibe. Digital nomads should probably stay somewhere else.

Right by the beach, with a lovely pool and a bar overlooking the view. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the place was spotless and chic. Fully recommend it.
