Fort Walker (Beachfront House+Studio)

Surfing was as easy as waking up and stepping outside: Fort Walker is right on Panga Drops, in a quiet part of the resort. The beach wasn’t crowded, and we enjoyed walks toward the cliff and down to playa Colorado. You can rent surfboards of different sizes at the house. The infinity pool, hammocks, WiFi, satellite and Bluetooth speaker helped make the spacious house comfortable, and we used the pool every day and night. I highly recommend the meal plan; Cecilia's cooking was amazing and we never went hungry. The friendly cleaning and cooking staff made us comfortable having them around all day. I stay at vacation rentals several times a year, and this was the first time I left struggling to think of anything negative or in need of improvement. Nicaragua365 and its people made the trip remarkable. Communication before, during and after was amazing, from arranging transport to making sure we got home safely. Iain was our concierge, kept us stocked with what we needed, and was easy to reach for even the most random requests at any hour. I’d absolutely recommend the property and N365’s services for a relaxing vacation.

The service is what really makes Ft. Walker stand out. Iain, David, Karenia (sp), and the rest of the staff were incredible: rides to surf breaks, fresh fish and shrimp caught that day, laundry, daily housekeeping, even last-minute requests, all handled. The house itself is a great beachfront property, and the pictures don’t do it justice. We’d stayed at another nearby house before and liked it, but Ft. Walker is much better, with a more open layout, more comfortable furniture, relaxing hammocks and an excellent pool. It’s right in front of a killer a-frame surf break. I hope to return soon!

The only hard part was leaving. We came for the surf and scored incredible waves, but the house and grounds were beautiful too. The friendly staff made us feel like family by the end of our short stay, and we’ll miss them. It was our first trip to Nicaragua, and we moved to another house in San Juan Del Sur afterward for a different experience. That house and its staff are nice, but the whole family agrees we’ll stay at fort walker the whole time next visit. Ian, Kerenia, Jolman, Edjuardo, thank you for making this such a wonderful trip. We’ll truly miss you guys. Five stars in every category, way beyond what we expected.

We had 8 people and used the casita too. This was a really relaxing stay, and the meal plan was well worth it, even though we skipped a few meals to try other places. The house is right in front of Panga Drops and around a 3/4 mile walk to Colorados. You’ll want a golf cart to get around, about $200 a week, or some bikes, since the store, beach club and other places inside the development are too far to walk. Iain and David kept in touch through booking and gave us helpful information during the stay. They arranged a few tours and transfers and really cared about our comfort. The staff were wonderful. Don’t hesitate to book.
