We stayed for three weeks, and it felt like home pretty quickly. The owners are really nice, and the rooms are clean and cozy. It's quiet and peaceful both day and night. The location is a 10/10 too. Hard to explain, but you'll get what I mean when you visit Popoyo. Definitely recommend this place.

We came for their Monday Thai curry night, and it was incredible. We both ordered the fish curry, the best Thai curry we've had in Central America. Even if you're not staying there, book a spot for curry night. It's the best-value meal you'll find in Popoyo.

We meant to stay for a week, but extended our stay on the first day. The rooms and kitchen are exceptionally clean, and it's a really calm place. They serve Indonesian dishes twice a week, definitely give those a try. :)

Make sure you reserve a table. At 6:15 pm we tried to walk in for dinner, just two of us, but were told they only take reservations because otherwise they might run out of food. They left us waiting as if we could eat there, then later said there wasn't enough food for people without a reservation. That's why I'm giving one star for the service. I haven't tried the food. Luckily, Popoyo has lots of other good restaurants to choose from.

The food was my favorite in Nicaragua so far. I went for both curry night and Indonesian noodle night. If you're in town for either one, book a reservation.
