I booked through Booking.com and got confirmation from the property, but getting the keys was difficult. After a phone call and paying for the night, I finally got them. Then a man came to my door demanding more money because the guest house wouldn't honor the Booking.com price. The whole thing was unpleasant. The next day I had a very unpleasant call with the man who said he was the owner. He admitted the payment was right, but wouldn't listen to what I had to say. I never got an apology. His aggressive way of speaking made the place feel completely unsuitable for a peaceful stay. I'm a long-term traveler, and this was my worst accommodation in Nicaragua. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing place.

We stayed six nights at Granados Guess House and found the nightly price really good. You may be able to negotiate a better rate if you're staying longer. It's a great place, about a two-minute drive from the main park, or a six-to-eight-minute walk. I definitely recommend staying here.

I stayed for a month and the service was top notch. Everything was new and very clean, and the place is close to the most popular tourist spots. It's awesome, and they're pet friendly too.

At Casa de Granados, I stayed in the roomy suite overlooking Mombacho. It was clean, with two TVs, a breakfast bar and table, and a white cat that came by at night and seemed to tell me jokes. The shower pressure was strong, though the water wasn’t very hot, which suited Granada’s heat. Fans were provided in every room, and the air conditioning could get very cold. The place is a long way from the center, but I could walk there in about 30 minutes. I was in Nicaragua to explore, and in Granada to explore and celebrate Christmas with the locals, so the distance didn’t bother me. When I first arrived, I was surprised and a bit embarrassed by the tight hugs and warm greetings I got on the street. I’m from London, where people tend to be rude, so I wasn’t used to that. A lady, a man, a woman, and a young man named Balford helped me with things like laundry, water, and breakfast. Being away from my family for Christmas, I found that care especially comforting. Granados Guesthouse felt like more than somewhere to sleep, almost like being pampered. I really like the house and the street. Thank you so much.
