Hostal Surfing Donkey At The Lake

Jeaneth, Sean, and their staff treated our group like family. My wife and I got back a couple of weeks ago after spending time at Hotel La Calzada in Granada, and we can't say enough about how much we loved it. The clean, nice rooms opened onto the pool in the open courtyard, where we spent lots of time swimming and having breakfast or other delicious meals they cooked for us. They even surprised me with a birthday party, complete with a delicious meal, a piñata, decorations, and cake. I was so surprised! They also arranged all our local tours, including a volcano trip, boat ride to the islands, coffee plantation, chocolate factory, and horse and buggy tour. The Hogs Breath Saloon is the most unique bar I've ever seen. I loved looking at everything hanging on the walls, it's a must see. Looking forward to going back and spending more time with our new friends at Hotel La Calzada in Granada!

Jeaneth, Sean, and the staff were excellent hosts, and our group really enjoyed staying here. The room was comfortable and very clean, and everyone went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We spent lots of time in the inviting courtyard and pool area, and enjoyed delicious home cooked breakfast there every morning. My husband and I loved our time at Hotel La Calzada.

My husband and I are Canadians living in Granada, and we come here to eat all the time because we absolutely love the place. Flor, Mario, and whoever's running the bar always give us such personable, enjoyable service. The owner Sean and his wife Janet are great, too. Definitely try the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, it's delicious! :)

The location is perfect, close to both the beach and town Center, and the food was excellent. We had a really memorable stay, with staff who were so friendly and helpful they felt like family. I'd definitely recommend Hotel la Calzada.
