The care from the staff really stood out during our three-week trip around Central America. I stay in plenty of hotels, and rarely give service a true 10 out of 10, but here it felt flawless. They noticed every detail and made us feel special. Our water was always topped up, and when we did yoga a server brought glasses of water and a jug to go with the mats, without us asking. We were often offered drinks and fresh water with lime. The rooms are very large. Evening turndown and coffee delivered to our room each morning were lovely touches. I also appreciated the property's sustainability focus and efforts to reduce waste. We were more than happy with our stay. Huge thanks to the wonderful staff at Jicaro!

The team looked after us so well and made our birthday trip feel special. We felt like we had the place to ourselves, surrounded by nature in a secluded setting that still felt luxurious. The rooms were spacious and stunning, the meals were amazing, and every activity was fun. It felt like paradise, with sunsets we'll remember for a lifetime.

The tours with Jicaro Island guides were planned so well, and there were lots of great experiences to pick from. The food had a great mix of dishes, and the staff were so sweet. Service was just perfect. Jicaro Island itself was magical, with beautiful, cozy, peaceful surroundings, and the houses were lovely to stay in, with great architecture and interiors.

The food was what I liked most, really excellent. We spent our wedding anniversary there, and they set up a lovely table for the occasion, which I appreciated. It’s a beautiful place with nice areas to relax and take in the views. I did miss having background music, though, since there’s no sound system. Also, be ready for an early start: the birds and monkeys get noisy around 4:30 in the morning.

The island itself is beautiful, and the whole team made our trip memorable. Cynthia, Arge, and Carlos put together the most incredible proposal, and the chefs deserve a shout-out too because every meal was amazing. The staff were so attentive. Words really don’t do the place justice.
