The garden is lovely, and Matagalpa makes a great base for exploring the northern part of the country. I’ve traveled extensively in Latin America, and this place is top notch. The food is delicious and worry free. It’s a superb place to rest and relax or set out on adventures. Try the fresh juices, they’re absolutely delicious.

I enjoyed wandering the beautiful garden each morning and watching butterflies. The rooms were clean, the decorations amazing, and breakfast very good. The dogs and cat were friendly too. We had dinner here, and it was very good.

The place felt secure and welcoming, with lots of trees, plants, and eco friendly touches. It’s powered by solar panels. When we arrived in Matagalpa, staying at Hostal Ulap Yasica was a great choice while we looked for long term accommodations. Bernardo Gonzalez, Rosario, Mariela, and Gilber were so welcoming and made sure we were well cared for. I’d gladly recommend it to anyone visiting Matagalpa and answer any questions.

We had the dorm and bathroom to ourselves, probably because it was their slow season. It was definitely a comfortable stay, super chill and really quiet.
