The family were lovely, and everyone was so nice. The two brothers were always available to help in all kinds of ways, even offering to pick me up from the ferry. I had an amazing stay at this family-owned hostel. The room was perfect, and they have a new kitchen for cooking, laundry service, and scooters in very good shape for rent. There were beautiful sunsets every night. I highly recommend staying here to explore this side of the island. Spend your money wisely and support this wonderful Nicaraguan family instead of the big hostels owned by foreigners 🙏🏼

I arrived on my own, and Alejandro kindly took me to a natural pool. We spent the day there, then swam in the lake. It was such a nice experience. I also met some of my best travel buddies here. The place has a real traveller feel, not like a typical hostel, and the homestay atmosphere made it unique and beautiful. There’s a pool table on the grounds, and his family let me feed their pigs. Alejandro and his family were so helpful and hospitable, and the place is beautiful with a relaxed vibe. There’s a lovely lake entrance nearby, as well as an air strip. His family can arrange affordable transport into town, or rent you a moto for exploring. I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you to Alejandro and his family. Keep doing what you’re doing ❤️

The nearby little beach with a bar was a special touch. We had a peaceful, restful stay, and the family were kind and always ready to help. Dinner and breakfast were both very tasty. I’d recommend it for a quiet stay before exploring more of the island.

Alejandro, the host, is one of the nicest people you’ll meet and so helpful. We loved our stay: the room was great and super clean, and both breakfast and dinner were really good. Laundry service is available, scooters can be hired on site, and it’s well located for the ferry. The downside is that many places on the island are far away. You definitely need to hire a scooter here, since most activities and places are at least 40 minutes away. The helmets they provide are terrible and probably need replacing.

We were happy to find this place for our family trip. The cabins were cozy and comfortable, and the local family who own the business were humble, helpful, and did all they could for us. They picked us up from the ferry and dropped us off too. There’s a lovely beach for swimming and an amazing sunset view. Maybe the pillows could be changed 😅
